Professor Baker is on the faculty of the Advanced Certificate Program and is director of the Union College-Mount Sinai School of Medicine Bioethics Program.

Laurence McCullough, professor of medical ethics and health policy at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas is co-editor. Professor McCullough serves on the Advisory Board of the Advanced Certificate Program.

Eugenijus Gefenas, associate professor at the medical faculty of Vilnius University, chair of the Lithuanian Bioethics Committee, and co-director of the Advanced Certificate Program contributed a chapter titled The Discourses of Bioethics in Post-Communist Eastern Europe.
